We have Floral Arranging classes, DIY Wedding Floral classes for anyone interested in learning wedding floral arrangement (but especially for DIY bridal clients / friends / family). We have Foraged Floral classes, Dahlia Camp, Floral Art, Garden Events & more!

From April through October, we'll take you through the whole process of growing dahlias, starting them from seed, making rooted cuttings, pollination, saving seeds, digging, tagging, cleaning and storing tubers and saving seeds. This hands-on-class is for anyone interested in all the aspects of growing, breeding and storing these garden beauties. A deep dive hands-on experience so be prepared for garden time.
We'll cover:
· Dahlia seed starting
· Transplanting dahlia seedlings
· Moving up seedlings
· Waking up & dividing tubers
· Potting up tubers – sprouting
· Dahlia Garden Design – planting dahlias – staking – feeding.
· The fine art of pinching & creating rooted cuttings.
· Dahlia Happy Hours – watch them grow & admire.
· Dahlia breeding – techniques & hands on workshop
· Dahlia seed pods, harvesting & selecting which to go to seed.
· Last garden review before frost / Last harvest
· First frost then cut back – why and how.
· Digging up dahlia tubers – how to safely dig, how to tag for ID, trimming, washing, drying, prep for storage & storage methods & mediums.
· Dahlia seed pods – Ripening & harvesting, keeping track of manually bred varieties.

Flat lay flower photography is a still-life scene that involves arranging flowers on a flat surface and capturing them with a camera. It's a type of photography that involves design elements and composition exploration and is so fun with all the different colors and shapes of seasonal floral. We have several different Flay Lay backgrounds and all the equipment for you to learn how to style and take these beautiful composition photos and add a new hobby to your repertoire. You'll be taking photos with your phone, so no flip phones please.(sorry Marilyn)
