Welcome to Queen Bee Blooms, where the line between farming and art blurs into wonder.
Here, seeds and stories grow side by side. I’m a grower and artist who cultivates my own materials—flowers, foliage, and color—then transforms them into installations, jewelry, writing, and design. Every petal and seed holds the potential for beauty in another form.

What began as a small flower farm has become an evolving studio practice rooted in observation, experimentation, and reverence for the natural world. Through my seed collections, teaching resources, and creative work, I hope to inspire others to see flowers not just as crops, but as collaborators in the creative process.

Whether you come here to shop for seeds, learn from my Growing for Market series, or follow the unfolding worlds of Floral Alchemy, you’re part of the same conversation—the one between earth, imagination, and the hands that tend both.

Grow beauty. Grow knowledge. Grow wonder.

About the Artist & Grower

I’m Elizabeth Fichter—flower grower, seed saver, and artist working from my family’s historic farm outside St. Louis. My fields and studio serve as both laboratory and muse, where I explore how flowers become pigment, jewelry, and story. Through Queen Bee Blooms I share the results of that collaboration: seasonal seed collections, educational resources for other growers, and glimpses into the creative work that flowers make possible.

STOP growing flowers. Let them grow YOU.

The Artist's Garden - A Curated Collection of Living Color

I'm an artist who grows her own crayons, and if you're here, I suspect you are too - even if you've never thought of yourself this way. As gardeners and growers, we already understand the interplay of color, texture, and form. We know how to build layers of beauty through the seasons. We're intimately familiar with our materials - from the way celosia catches late afternoon light to how strawflowers hold their color through drying, and how dahlias, no matter what size, are always the star of any composition.

'The Artist's Garden Collection' is about seeing our growing spaces as more than just gardens - they're living studios where we create with nature's own palette. They offer an opportunity to shape our immediate world into a reflection of our heart and soul, something tangible we can share with others.

The Queen Bee mission has always been simple: 'Share Beauty. Share Love.' - Take your love and grow something beautiful, then share it with the world.

I invite you to see flowers as something more - as artist's materials. YOUR materials: tools for creating beauty and expressing love.

What will be your masterpiece?
