I'm an artist who grows her own crayons, and if you're here, I suspect you are too - even if you've never thought of yourself that way. As growers, we already understand the interplay of color, texture, and form. We know how to build layers of beauty through the seasons. We're intimately familiar with our materials - from the way celosia catches late afternoon light to how strawflowers hold their color through drying, and how dahlias, no matter what size, are always the star of any composition.
